silence
To me silence is beauty, a gift I was blessed from the day I exited my mother’s womb. Who are you to judge me because I can’t hear? Nobody, in my opinion. I’ve lived my life in fear of being judged every day, sun up to sun down & it’s not fair, not even. For 21 years, I suffered the insufferable, I wouldn’t necessarily call it tragic by any means. “Oh, what’s that thing on his ear?” they whispered all my life, even though I could never hear it; trust me, I know. You know, they know. More importantly, I knew and sadly I cared. But, I woke up and decided that I didn’t really give a fuck what you guys think anymore. Jokes on you, say what you want. Deuces.
